Got my speakers replaced...

in my 11 with the "upgraded" sound!! I had JL C2 6.5's put in the front and rear, along with an xd400/1 amp to push them. The sound is much better than factory. The highs are very clear, and they have great sound, with a little bit of bass. I still have the factory sub, but will be replacing with a 13W5 at some point to make thump. It's funny, I've never had a stereo in anything, aftermarket that is, and after a month of ownership, i just had to have this one changed.
I just had a shop do all the work, I'm electronically retarded, and what took them all day to do, would have taken me all week, and probably still would not have worked. They went ahead a wired everything for the sub, and new amp to go in, so all that needs to be done is hook them up and mount them.
Install labor was only 200 bucks, pretty good I thought!!

I'm sure you will like them, I've had two friends that heard the before and after comment on how big of an improvement it was, and they are both "stereo guys".

Heads up if you do the install yourself, apparently, there is a seperate amp that runs the door speakers under the dash on the driver side. This was my installers first 2011, and after he ran it all, couldn't figure out why they were not getting power from the new amp, then found the factory one under the dash.

As for pics, I don't have any, door panels look the same, and I didn't do the install. You would have had pics of me slitting my wrists had I tried to do it myself!!
