Best integrated Nav & Radio system

I have a 2012 F350 CC Lariat without nav. I've been looking at aftermarket atlernatives like Kenwood, and Pioneer. I'd like to know what system is the best to integrate with the steering wheel controls and sync. I do use the controls on the wheel and phone system alot.

Kenwood uses garmin nav. Going with an aftermarket nav unit you will eliminate the sync system and use the radio Bluetooth feature. Steering wheel controls can still be used. What about an in dash iPad? indash iPad get great navigation, internet, movies, Bluetooth hands free, and still have use of your steering wheel controls.

I just did a search on the in dash Ipad installs in superduty's . Looks very promising. Now to located someone locally that has the ability to do the quality of installation you have in Tampa. I chatted with another Superduty owner who went with Kenwood and had a local sound company install the system in his truck. Long story short, after $1600 into it, the install looked great but many of the features would'nt work. Such as the steering controls, and phone.

I put in a kenwood dnx890 with maestro adapter. The maestro lets you use steering wheel controls and also all of the factory sync features. It works pretty good but sometimes there's a slight delay when you adjust volume with the steering wheel button. Otherwise it's a good unit.

If your interested we can mail you the kit and then you can install it, or have a local shop install it.

Kit is around 1500, plus iPad mini with data of your choice.

Includes mount, radio, and all harness needed.

Is there a way I can see some info on the installation of the Kit as well as the features that will be available once installed??

I have the top of the line Kenwood and it's a total POS. Crashes & lockups are common. Backup camera is totally screwed. You can't use handsfree because no one can understand you with the 2sec delay and crap mic. Pandora hardly ever works. Steering wheel controls do different things on different days.

All in all this is one unit to avoid.

are you running the dnx9990? How long ago did you do it? I assume you used the maestro?

We use the overly priced kenwood in our woot veh ang it's the biggest p.o.c. I think I've ever used. It's fairly new and have the time you really have to push hard on the screen to get it to work. We have to angle the screen a lot so it doesn't reflect the gray leather seats or the sun. The buttons at the bottom are too small and for some odd reason the off button is in the middle of the bunch. Ok, I'm down ranting. I really hate the thing(g).
