Tin can sound

2011 Ff250 4x4 has a 4.5 inch lift but I have heard this noise in the past before I lifted it. Sounds like it's coming from the front end. Almost sounds as if I am dragging some tin cans. Its only noticeable from a dead stop and low speeds. Not sure if faster speeds just hide the sound or what. Does not make sound unless truck is moving.

I also Crawled underneath and cannot see anything that stands out of place. Can't figure out what it could be. Thanks for any insight if possible. And questions that could give you more info please ask.

Sounds just like the problem I mentioned in the thread below this my lug nut fell off, was stuck in center cap, made that "tin can crunching sound" hahaha...

As stupid as it sounds, it seriously could be it.

Did anyone figure out what this issue was yet? I've had the same issue with my 11 deleted n aftermarket wheels, my buddies 12 with wheels also no caps but has stock exhuast has also started doing it. Only does it 5 to 10mph or reverse. Scratching our heads for months now n nobody can figure it out also doesn't do it all the time either. Sounds just like said above pop cans or a tinny sound or like drum brakes that fell apart

I had a 2008 E350 do this several years ago. I have a 2014 E350 KUV doing this now. It was the front brake pads on the 2008. I now know what the sound is so I have not addressed it on my 14. It's my company truck. The mechanic explained there is a issue with a spring on the back of the pads that is to keep them from moving/rattling. Applies slight pressure just to keep them snug. They changed the pads and it went away. I only have 600 miles on my F250 which is my personal truck so if I hear it I will take the pads off and see if I can adjust/bend this spring to get it to stop, or I will change them. The noise I've had on the E350's were with the factory installed pads that were on the truck when they were new. Bet that's your problem.
