Wretched Wrench Warning

Here is an odd one. My Super Duty says it's going to clean the exhaust filter. I get this normal message on my center display as usual. Then the "wrench symbol" shows up. The wrench symbol is an indicator of a driveline problem, and see a Ford tech as soon as possible. Uh oh! I'm on vacation 2000 miles from home and without my code reader. I stare at this wrench symbol for 100 miles thinking about right bank exhaust valves, turbo problems, wet or contaminated fuel, etc, etc.

The light went out when I stopped to fuel up. Hooray, or is it? It has not come back on since. I wonder if I had a computer glitch that fired the warning light but nothing else is wrong.

Anybody else had sporidic "wrench" warning light?

cant you take it to a dealer and see if they can read the code for you? maybe put your mind at ease a little? or even take it to an orielys or autozone.
