Heavy Steering?

I finally got myself a truck for a hell of a deal tho it has one small thing that bugs the hell out of me.

If you have the steering wheel centered and driving down the road it feels like the steering is really heavy and sticking? Say if I turn to change lanes the wheel will stay that way unless I straighten back out.

Normal turning and such it will pull itself nearly back straight till it gets to that tight spot again. Maybe Im just not used to a properly working steering dampener? It makes it rather fidgety going down the road tho, but it doesnt pull to either side.

I will have to agree with Heavy most likely someone adjusted it.. or you may have a hub engaged for 4wd but more than likely the wormgear was adjusted

Is that going to be an issue long run? If not I'll just deal with it.

I do wonder why someone would mess with it on a truck with only 50K on the clock.

Is the truck lifted? if so some people try to adjust it to pick up the slop / play in the wheel when they lift a truck.
