P040D

Yesturday while pulling out on to the HWY the truck wouldn't go above 60km/h. When it finally did it took forever to reach 80. The truck was running fine all day. Started it up around 730AM and this happend around 430PM.

I ran over to the dealer with it before they closed and since no check engine lights or any other warning lights came on he said to try some fuel conditioner. That was a no go. I limped it home and plugged it in to my SCT that i have for my 6.0 to see if it was throwing any codes. P1000 came up and more worrysome is the P040D.

After looking up what P040D is: P040D Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature (EGRT) Sensor A Circuit High



So has anybody else had this problem? Is there a quick fix that i could do at home to get this thing back on the road for teh weekend?

I already tried clearing the codes but they come back as soon as she fires back up.
