just wanted to give you guys an update on my father-in-laws truck. i finaly got a chance to ask him what exactly happend on sun. He said he was drivig on the turn pike at aprox 65 miles an hour when his oil pressure light came on the about a mile later he heard a clank followed by what sounded like the turbo falling apart. he said the dealership wont get to it untill friday at the earliest. again if any body has heard of this happening to the 6.4 or has any insight to what possibly happened it would be great to hear!

Sounds like an oil starvation failure by either a bad oil pump or out of oil. Turbo failure would be an after effect of oil starvation because the turbo on almost all diesels is the furthest/last in the lube circiut.
