Tow haul acting weird ?

I just traded my 2005 6.0l psd in for a 2008, f350 drw 4x4, egr and dpf delete with sct tuner, sofar I love the truck way more than my 2005 However, the tow haul doesn't seem to act like my 2005. When going up a hill in my 2005 I could put it in two haul (not towing) and it would downshift from gear 5 lockup gear and stay, my 2008 (same hill) will go into top gear lockup with tow haul on unless I pretty much have my foot into it. Is this normal for these 08 model trucks? The light does come on the dash and it seems to downshift correctly when I brake. Seems like it works better sometimes that others. I had the trans serviced today at a trans shop and all was good they said. Any thing that can be checked or?

Might have too much transmission fluid.

Or

Try unplugging the neg battery cables for 30 seconds and plug back up and the transmission will go into learn mode. Drive around for about 100 miles and try again.
