Rough Idle, Runs Fine Otherwise

I've noticed lately that my truck has an intermittent rough idle. Doesn't seem like a straight miss, more like it's trying to maintain rpm and over/undershoots. The last couple days, it's gotten a bit worse. Rail pressure normally sits rock steady at 4.8ksi, but during the rough idling, it will bounce between 4.4 and 5.9. The filters were replaced less than 10k ago. It does seem to do it a bit more with an empty tank. Aside from idle, it runs great and rail pressure is very steady. Anyone experience something like this? I'm wondering if the low pressure pump is going?

I would say your injectors, or at least one is going bad. Put the truck in park and try to run your RPM's steady at about 1,100 and see if she bounces around.

It's hard to hold the throttle steady. In gear, it holds 1100 nicely. In park it seems surgey, but I'm not sure if I'm holding the throttle very steady. No water in the separator. I do live in an area notorious for dust storms so I might just change the filters anyway.

I ran a half tank of Diesel Kleen through it, and it seems to have smoothed out again. I also picked up about 2-3mpg. We'll see if it stays that way.
