Steering wheel hard to turn

I have been reading up on power steering and the forums recommended flushing with mobil 1 atf synthetic fluid when the steering got hard.

I did the flush and it did not help the steering situation. When I was flushing I was pumping my brakes and fluid was coming out. When I was turning the wheel nothing was coming out, only when I was pumping the brakes.

My wife cannot even turn my truck in a parking lot. and it takes me two arms turning the wheel to park it.

I have 20" nitto grapplers.

I am out of ideas. some people say thats just the price you pay for having big tires. sounds crazy my wife cant even park the truck.

Well when I flushed my power steering, fluid only came out when I pumped the brakes as well. Although for me, the flush did the job. I have 325/60-20's and it shouldn't be so hard that your wife cant turn the wheel. Sounds like the power steering pump is loosing it.
