2008 PO Code 1260

I have a 2008 PS with a PO1260 code. It will crank over normally like its going to start then something pops or clicks after that if just cranks real slow like a dead battery, with no start. I used a VOM and checked both batteries and they are both reading over 12volts. I hooked up my Snap-On scanner and it gives me a 1260 Theft deterrent code. The code will not clear. Anybody got any ideas?

Ignore the P1260. That code in this strategy should prevent the truck from cranking altogether.

Check all connections to the starter, and at batteries, and if that looks good, try cranking it over with the jumper wire under the hood near the RH battery.

Does it crank over for a while before it does this, or like it's got a cylinder or two full of antifreeze or fuel?

FIXED! It was a CAC boot that had blown off.
