Rear end possibly going out

A few weeks ago my passenger side shaft on the rear end started to slip out. Some of the grooves were torn a little so I had a shop try and doctor it up. They put it back together and filled it with axle grease and I was told that if it did it again the rear end is likely going out. Now when im driving over 30 mph when I press on the gas I feel a vibration. When I let off the gas it continues for a second and stops. It vibrates a lot more on the highway.

Does this sound like a rear end problem or is it something else?
