Smile 6.4L Boost

Hi guys. New member! Just bought an '08 King Ranch F350 Crew Cab DR Super Duty with 38,000 miles, 6.4L, factory turbo, 4.10 rear end. Took it out last night on the interstate with cruise set at 65 MPH. Engine turned around 2000 rpm, but even on the flat terrain I was reading around 1 on the boost gage. Fuel mileage was between 13 & 14. Is this normal to have that level of boost without towing or hauling anything?

thanks in advance.

That seems extremely low. I'm between 5 and 10 on flat ground. If there's a head wind I'm a bit higher.

Your boost is definitely low that truck is capable of 50. And I'm sure you can raise that mpg too.

Maybe he meant the first mark on factory boost gauge. In that case it would be 10psi and close to what mine runs on the highway.
