Exclamation Strange Turbo noise

Hey Guys,
I've tried searching this problem and I can't seem to find an answer.
Issue 1) When I pull a hill or just go a little heavy on the pedal the I hear the turbos spooling but I also hear a very loud hissing. I'm thinking one of the boots on the turbo piping is leaking. I did a visual on all the ones I could see and no rips or anything. I did find oil on of the boots. It's the one on the driverside bottom. Issue 2) I can hear some metal on metal noise when excelling. What would cause the oil to be going into the piping and coming out of the bottom boot (can't find anything wrong with boot) It still builds pressure and has the same power as normal but I'm very concerned that a turbo is about to blow up. Any advise or insight would be greatly appreciated!!!

edit:stock truck no mods

The ccv system is what is causing there to be oil in the intercooler boots. It does sound like you have a boost leak. Check the intercooler boots and the up pipes and firewall for soot. As for the metal noise i am not sure what that could be.

I have yet to find a the source of the leak. The noise the turbo is making sounds like the internals spinning and not getting lubbed. I can't find anything wrong other than the noises. It's going into the Diesel shop on Monday. I'm praying nothing to serious is happening.

I have just noticed a kazoo sound on my new to me 08 f450 thought it was air going through a cowling or over some other bluff body, but the more I hear it the more concerned I am that it is turbo related. Im not seeing any power issues but I havent pulled anything yet either.
Wht does the kazoo sound usually indicate?

I had this problem too, I was sure it was the turbo. Turned out the Downpipe joint on the lower section has came lose. The noise was so bad I was sure the turbo was fvcked. Check your exhaust for any lose connections. Another member posted the same thread you did and I mentioned that, and that's what it was.

Thanks Mts
I have done quite a bit ofsearching on the noise here and elsewhere.
There are alot of noises that can come from powerstrokes
Iwill check the exhaust and pipes.
I am taking her to my brother in laws shop for new tires all around Tuesday and we will investigate it in full. Not sure his lifts are up to the tasks but we will check everything out. I have an inner dual tire seperation issue that is going to be dealt with first.
