Horrible Smell
Heres what happened I was driving around at low speeds 25mph or less with lots of idling. The truck went into Regen, blew the smoke, then I got out to do something and noticed the smell. My first thought was burning glue, but it could have been asbestoes. So a few stops later the smell was gone. But it was nasty. I don't ride the brakes or clutch and the smell was defintly coming out the exhuast.
Few more details the engine was fully warmed up outside temp around 3F could not smell it inside the cab. May have stopped while still in Regen. Is there asbestoes in the DPF that could have caused the smell? Any ideas on what it was? |
