6.4 chugging

I have a 08 6.4 SD and when I am at cruzing speed and come to a hill or if the truck needs to power up I guess you could say it starts chugging unless I push the throttle pedal down it happens with or without the cruise control on. Any Ideas

on another note, I had this happen to me when my truck was stock. I read it had something having to do with the intake and condensation. I have to dig it up, its on this forum somewhere.
