PCM problems

got the news from the dealer that my PCM shat out on me on account of the previous owner's tune. don't want to pay 2k for parts and install when I can do the work myself but I am having a hell of a time finding a PCM online. I hear they are spendy, anyone know of a cheap or cheaper fix?

Call a tuning company and see if they can get you one. I got a used one myself that way for 250$ but then they had to install all the software or whatever they put on them which costs more. Deffinetly cheaper then ford for sure.
