Used SCT Livewire

I bought a used SCT Livewire it says it is unlocked but when I try and use it on my tuck it says it's the wrong truck. I then tried to update it because I heard that may help my problems that didn't work. It is also having trouble communicating with my computer I can't do anything but update the firmware on it. It says there is trouble communicating with device when i do anything else. Please help I don't want to have wasted a bunch of money on this.

Send it to Innovative Diesel or another SCT vendor. Your vin and job needs to be set on this device. They put these blocks on the tuners so 1 guy doesnt buy a tuner and program all of his buddies vehicles too.
