6.4 runs but wont accelerate!!! Help please

This is my first Ford and my first diesel and i love it! I drive a 2008 F250 Harley davidson Edition 6.4. Its completely stock and a daily driver. This morning on my way to work it was fine until i got close to work. As i started up a slight hill i noticed my truck slowing down. I gave it gas and nothing. At the top of the hill i came to a stop at the light. I took off and it seemed sluggish and did not accelerate as it should. Seems like it had no boost. I need help guys!!!!!!!!!!! Any ideas what it could be before i take it to the dealership?????????

Thanks,

JCON

Could be several things but lets start with the basics. Tell us a little about the maintenance of the truck.

last oil /oil filter change?
OEM or after market filters?
last fuel filters change?
Coolant level or status?
Air filter status?
Any codes or CEL?

I change the oil regularly. I dont have any after market filters. I bought the truck a little over a year ago and the fuel filters were changed by the ford dealership before i bought it so they havent been changed in a little over a year. Coolant levels are good and checked last month. The air filter was changed a month ago as well. I did have the check engine light turn on the day before i had this problem and it shut off. I wasnt on more that a few hours. Yesterday when i drove home the truck was fine. Is it true that you should not get gas when the gas truck is filling the units at the store? i did and a few minutes later i had this problem.
