2008 Ford F250 Smoking

My wife Has a 2008 Ford F250 That is blowing white smoke so bad you cant even see behind you when it does it but it doesnt do it all the time it seems like it dont do it til after its ran or idled for awhile I was thinking maybe the dpf filter but don't know any way to check the dpf filter to see if its bad or if anyone has any other ideas on what this could be and how to diagnose i would greatly appreciate any help also the check engine light is not on so wont show any codes

Does it show the cleaning exhaust filter message on the info panel when smoking? It's probably an issue with the regen process.

If you aren't deleted its dpf cleaning.

Anyway to diagnose any of this what about egr cooler could that cause it to smoke thanks again for all the help
