Need Help, stuck in a driveway!!!
My wife got out of the truck and everything was fine. She got back in a few minutes later and turns the key and nothing. All the lights come on and the seat belt beep etc. but turning the key it does nothing. Checked all the terminals and even changed the batteries but absolutely nothing. Any ideas please help, my wife is stuck at my parents and I don't know how long she will last there with her sanity
I am out of town so I'm relaying all of this with my brother, not the best of circumstances I know. Its a 2008 6.4 it has H&S mini max and a hollowed DPF and CAT. My next option is to have it towed to Ford but since I'm not there to switch that stuff out and put it back to stock it will have to go in with it all there. Will that be a problem? I'm not worried about the warranty just don't want them to screw it up some how. Thanks for your help. |

Have her get in put the key in turn it on. Then before trying to start, push on the brake and move the gear shifter from park to drive and back to park then try to start the truck.

Thanks for the reply bud I really appreciate it. Tried that too and no luck, its really weird usually I can figure it out but without being there I'm thinking I might be out of luck. Maybe have to call AAA and have it towed down to Ford. Thanks again!!!

Theft light blinking? Could be a PATS issue.

Thanks for the response. Yes, she said there is a blinking pad lock in the dash when she removes the key. What is the PATS issue? only found a thread talking about circuits being wet.

It turned out to be nothing. Had it towed to Ford cause I couldn't get ahold of my mechanic. I hate taking it there but had to. They hooked it up to their computer and it gave a code for interruption to the OBDII port. They unplugged my H&S mini and it started right up so they charged me $289 for about 10 min of work and told me not to plug anything into the outlet and that the H&S is not designed to be hooded into there
Turns out my wife hit the plug getting out of the truck and when she tried to put it back in it didn't line up correctly, didn't think of that. Just thought I would pass this along incase someone else has this kinda problem |
