Fuel Rail Pressure

I have a spartan. I was running the 210TP tune for a while and just switched to the 275LL. I don't think it has anything to with a potential problem, but figured I'd post it just as well.

Anyway, up until this point, I've had no problems. I have 15k+ miles running the spartan (DPF/CAT off, AFE CAI). I've run just about all the tunes to see what I like. I always monitor using the DD.

Anyway, lately the FRP has been acting up. The alarm as gone off (briefly) three or four times. Usually during the first 5mins of the drive. I have never had this before. The FRP's are bouncing all over the place at the time. I use DieselKleen with every fill up. I fear is the HPFP. Is there any simple stuff I can do? I plan on changing the fuel filters. They were last changed by Ford about 13k ago.

55k miles total.

I plan on pulling the DD logs and seeing what they look like. Will post up here when I get a chance.

Any thoughts are welcome.

recently change fuel filters, could you have some air in the system?

Haven't changed them yet. I will change them shortly. That should drain the fuel out of the line in case there is any water there too I suppose.

Mine has been in the shop this week and they were able to reprogram the computer.I was getting p0088 fuel rail pressure too high. Thought for sure I was looking at a hpfp replacement. I have 119xxx miles

Ugh, I haven't gotten a code yet. Let's hope that waits for 119k miles at least

I have the mini maxx so I could pull and clear the code. My engine would go into limp mode before the CEL came on.

I have an 08 with 164,000 miles. Same problem. I have the SCT Livewire, DPF Del, S&B air intake. I had it on extreme for 2 years-no problems. All of the sudden it started going into protective mode as described above and throwing th P0088. I reprogramed to tow setting and it stopped for the most part. But instead of going into protective mode it would choke out when you gave it too much pedal. The P0088 stayed on but never died like before.

Now I cleared the DTC codes but the truck has started blowing white smoke out of the exhaust.

I'm stumped...
