Desperate Help
Here is the story.... I have an 08 F-250 6.4, in the mornings when the truck is cold it will fire right up and run good all day, I can cut it off and it cranks back up SOME of the time. So I take it to the ford dealership and they say the code reads a damaged cam sensor, simple fix right? (nightmare begins) they tell me to be back at 2pm that same day to pick it up. Get there at 2 and they say they can't get the cam sensor out so they start taking the engine apart because the technician believed something inside the engine hit the tip of the sensor preventing it from coming out. Finally get to the cam sensor, gets it out somehow with a pry bar? Tip doesn't looked damaged and they broke the entire engine down to try to find the piece that hit the sensor... nothing... they had the truck for 2 MONTHS!!!! finally get it back friday and drive it for 2 days and again... wont crank... all power works just sounds like the same thing as before but they just put a new sensor in. I reallllyyyyy don't want to take it back to the shop bc they will keep it for 2 months run up a 4000 dollar bill and nothing change? someone please help me figure this out??? it almost sounds like the batteries are dead but the batteries are new? what could this be because it sure as hell is stumping the ford place!!!!
