Add another one to the leaky radiator board...
I just bought this 08 with 71k miles 3 weeks ago and sure as hell yesterday everything seemed to happen all at once. On my way home my check engine light went on, AND to top it all off I pull in my driveway, come out 15 min later and theres a puddle under the ds bumper/fender. It's the radiator, that bottom death corner. Check engine light though didn't make sense, so I ran it into the dealer, and they are pulling a code for the particulate filter, which the service adviser said it was from my S&B intake supposedly...odd. I'll look into it a bit more but the other thing was the adviser said they are now on a 3rd gen degas bottle, which relieves more pressure from the radiator, which may be the new "best fix". I may just try and buy the new degas bottle and all the other parts it comes with and do it myself and see what the radiator does. Either way I'll end up replacing this damn radiator, but it's worth a shot. I'm just not at that point to fork over $1,600 to the dealer for it right now. I still may fight it, this truck has had every service done at a Ford dealership since it was brand new, and it only out of powertrain warranty by a month. I think Ford just needs to man up and take care of this, especially if they want us to spend $60k on these trucks when they are new.
