Fuel Filter Change

I was wondering if anyone else has a problem priming their truck after changing their fuel filters?
Last time my mechanic did them, it took about 20mins to get the truck running. Just curious if this is normal or is something wrong.

After the filter change you have to prime 6 times with a 30 second gap in between each. People have suggested that even 4 or 5 primes wont do the trick.

Never had a problem. Just followed ford manual like mentioned above and it's started like a charm every time....
