Tsb needed
Can anyone provide me with the entire tsb 09-10-2. My tailpipe is covered in soot. Dealer says nothing is wrong. I think I have a cracked DPF and I think this tsb shows how to diagnose this.

Just feel blessed that your truck has partially deleted it's own DPF (seemingly) without it knowing it. Do you have less regens now?

I don't know what to honestly compare it too. I just bought the truck in december and it has been like this since I got it. I just want to make sure I will not cause any damage to anything by leaving it like it is. The dealer says nothing is wrong, however these trucks are not supposed to have any visable emissions. That is not the case with mine, the tail pipe is covered in soot and on heavy acceleration (>20 lb boost) I get black smoke.

Perhaps the previous owner drilled a hole in the DPF?

Wouldn't that throw a code due to too much air flow?
