steering wheel?

The dealer just put a new steering box in my truck.Today I noticed the steering wheel is loose play up and down and side to side,is it possible they took the wheel off to line it up an left it loose?If I have to take it back I'm gonna blow a gasket since I just deleted it.If its just loose how hard is it to get the airbag out? Thanks

Can U push and pull it toward and away from the dash?

I'd definitely take that back.

No there's no play in and out only side to side and up and down.

I hate to mess up your thread here but I need a new steering box as well. What was wrong with yours and was it warranty or did you pay and if you paid if you dont mind sharing... how much?

No mess strokin.It was covered under warranty since I just bought the truck from a dealer,anyways I was able to move the wheel about 4" each way without any movement in the frontend much better now except the damn steering wheel play and I have a trip planned this weekend.there are no prices on the r.o.

there's a star-headed single bolt under the airbag that needs tightening
