08 new to me....clunk on 2-3 shift info?
Well purchased a 08 F350 dually KR...just a beast as you all know. Trucks currently at 48,000 miles and service records provided are excellent...several TSB's were performed...injectors, computer flashes, oil serviced and fuel filters at correct intervals. Owner cared about the truck...so the question is...Since I know he was diligent on service and within warranty I was wondering why nothing in the paperwork showed him taking the truck in for the following..
What I notice is on light to moderate throttle I'm getting a thump or clunk on the 2-3 shift. Shift is in good order in that engagement is propper and feels correct, but there is an audible clunk at time of shift...most of the time...not absolutely every single time, or that I can hear.....but it is audible most of the time. Under substantial throttle (over 1/4 throttle)its so slight or not there as I can tell. I do hear a lesser clunk at times when comming off the brake and applying throttle around corners...sometimes but not sure if it's associtated with the 2-3 shift sound.
Not sure what to make of it yet...and more so looking for members to chime in to help out a new member in learning the in's and outs of a big truck like this. Is this a trait of a problem brewing?
