Wierd clunk
I have a 2008 F250 KR and i have started noticing a wierd clunk from the passenger side floorboard area. It occurs about every 30 seconds when I am idling at a stop or at slow speeds. Otherwise, the truck runs strong.
Could this be the 'Blend door" problem? Really frustrating. |

Mine does the exact same thing. To me it sounds like some one kicking the bottom of the can with a shoe on. I thought it was the blend door also.

It has something to do with the A/C compressor. Turn your a/c off and it will stop. I have the same thing going on with mine. Has been doing it for a while so I wouldn't worry about it.

Its just the climate control blend door, nothing wrong its just noisy.

I noticed the same noise the past few days. It's been cooler out so I've been idling more in the morning, and also idling after I stop until around 300°F egt. I know the ac is off and defrost is definitely on. The sound is not a typewriter noise, it is a clunk that sounds sort of mechanical.... Kinda like train cars coupling together (obviously not that loud though). I can also feels the clunk in my feet, but it definitely is coming from the passenger side floor area.
I will idle without defrost and see what happens. MT |

Nothing to worry about they all do it on defrost. My 6.0 was even louder when it did it

Mine don't really clunk but the truck sounds like it misses and then rocks a little bit but only on defrost
