DTC P242D now what?

i was coming home from lunch and my CEL came on and the truck had no power. just enough idle to get me to the side of the road. i ran the diagnostics on my bully dog and saw that DTC P242D was tripped. i cleared it and the truck was back to normal.

i know this is means "P242D Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit High Bank 1 Sensor 3" but what does that mean to me?

1) was it just running a little high and i shouldnt worry about it?
2) do i need to replace a sensor?
3) can i tune this so it wont happen again? im running the bully gt at stock until i get a new tuner.

thoughts?
