4x4 switch and O/D fuse blown

Has anyone had this problem. My fuse is blown for the functions in the title of this thread. I replace it and it blows immediately! I checked the wires in the steering column for a bare one, all looks good. Any suggestions on next steps? I really don't want to drop a couple of hundred at the dealer just so he can put a piece of electrical tape on a bare wire. Has there been any issues with this problem out there?

Check the wiring harness under the dash and under the hood to make sure none of the wires rubbed bare. Also if you have a multimeter you can narrow it down allot easier.
