Headlight Issue

Just a warning for you all, I have no low beam headlights because of a smart junction box. They quit working and I had to drive with my highbeam lights on all the time. Now only one of those is working. Just a heads up, and if it is your smart junction box as it is with mine, don't expect it to get fixed anytime soon. My part was put on rapid referral two weeks ago this coming Thursday and the dealer has no clue as to when it will be in. They checked the status last week and there were 265 of them backordered and 225 of them were supposed to ship 4 days prior to me getting this info. Apparently no one has them and at this point, no one can get them. It's a poor design to say the least. I did speak with them again yesterday and him and I couldn't do much but laugh as he still doesn't know a thing. Hope Ford will cover my ticket for driving with one high beam light every night.

I can't believe they are that far behind on this part. It must be a large problem if they are that far behind. May I ask what this "smart junction box" is going to cost you? Hope it goes faster for you. Please let us know how it turns out. Good luck to you.

I have no lowbeams on my 2008 F350???? Any help

My problem was the smart junction box was bad. Apparently there was an update that had not been done on my truck to try and prevent this. It has only been serviced at Ford since the day I got it. The fix, as I am reading it from the invoice, Program Smart Junction box and install. Total was $266.30 with parts and labor from Ford. Took about an hour or so if I remember correctly.

did you happen to have hids on your truck when this happened? the same thing recently happend.
