Smell in Cab during Exhaust Filter cleaning

I always know when my truck starts to regen because I get a slight burning/exhaust smell in the cab... has anyone else experience this?

Get under the truck and look for burnt or hot spots above the DPF. I've heard of them getting hot enough to burn carpet insulation...

My truck had the same issue. Turns out it was a cracked up pipe where the expansion joint is, and a bad gasket between the turbos. Check your fire wall for soot around your up pipes.

I had the same issue ...dealer fixed ..was not covered under ext/warranty. The cost was not a lot...but I still was not happy...about spending $$$.
