Help!! truck is going crazy!

Okay so my friend has a stock 350 6.4. Driving down the road the other day and all of a sudden the dash says "Stop Carefully Now" or "Stop Slowly Now". As soon as he stops the truck shuts off. He waits a sec and tries to restart and it wont even crank. Two hours later the tow truck shows up to get it and it starts right up no problems.

HELP!

Thats happened to a few guys here. If i remember correctly it was an issue with their DPF clogging or something like that. The DPF is part of the Emissions warrenty, which I believe its covered for 7 years.??

One tech saisd it could be a bad key chip, does that sound possible? It runs fine now but just wouldn't crank for an hour or so.

I don't know about a bad key chip but if the DPF gets to hot that's what it will do, or if you have a faulty exhaust sensor the computer thinks its to hot and does the one hour shut down. Was it in cleaning mode when it happened?
