tranny noise?

Hey everyone, i have 2010 f-350 dually i picked last week new that had 1100 miles on it(had to transport it form fla to nc) when picked it up and now hows 1500 miles on it.

It makes a grinding noise from the tranny area and it only does it from 1100-1000 rpms, braking or coasting in overdrive but not in tow/haul mode. it doesnt make any other noises on acceleration and when i give gas during this period it stops until it goes down to these rpms again.

i stop by the dealership on wednesday and they said it was the torque converter. then i stop again on friday and had the tech listen to it and he agreed that it wasnt right. going to Dropping it off monday.


Any help to this problem would be very helpful.

I was like how the hell did he find a 2010 with 1100 miles

then I noticed the date

Yeah after I posted on here, i saw a post he made over on the diesel stop...it was his torque converter lol
