GRAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!

So, for the 5th time in the past 5 weeks, my truck is in the shop. Here is a breakdown of what has been done thus far with each corresponding visit:

1. Complete AC system pressurization and recharge
2. Brand new PCM & another AC recharge
3. New Evaporator & recharge
4. New AC Compressor & recharge
5. who knows whats next....

So i get the truck back, test drive it with the service manager, works fine, drop him back off, then proceed to drive home. 1 mile from the dealership, the AC cuts out completely. I bust a Uturn head straight for the diesel bay and grab the mechanic. He plugs in the computer and it gets no signal from the compressor. I bought it used with 20k on the ODO so no lemon law here unfortunately.

Needless to say.... i am DONE with this truck. its a 2008 with 35250 on the OD. Thankfully ALL under warranty. They are going to give me an extended warranty no charge, but im seriously considering the 2011 f350.

The dealership has been really cool about everything as i have been with them. just frustrating. Any ideas? what would you do in this situation, if money were no object and time of the essence??? within reason... obviously...

Buy a 2003 7.3. Chip/intake/exhaust and upgrade the tranny.

You won't be disappointed.

Knowing what I know now, this is the ONLY way to go. Thank You EPA.

His problems have nothing to do with the DPF/DOC therefore NOTHING to do with the EPA!

My A/C has been out on 3 separate occasions. The first time it was a cracked condenser. 2nd time supposedly it was a bad clutch assembly. This time around it's a bad compressor, accumulator and a complete A/C flush.

The running joke among my friends is how big of a piece of crap my F-250 is. It looks cool and is fast and quiet when it works, but it breaks just about every other week. I've been considering trading it in on a 2011, but now I am worried about first-run vehicles.

my a/c system quit on me this summer too... darn fuses! I'm glad I don't hardly drive my truck so I don't break it like a lot of people have been.
