Trouble Turning Steering Wheel in Parking Lot

Is it normal to practically need two hands to turn the wheel while not moving (i.e. in a parking lot)? Once I start rolling it's all good and easy, but sometimes I have little room to get out of a spot and it'd be great to be able to turn the wheels from far left to far right without having to move forwards or backwards. Just want to confirm if this is normal.

Thanks in advance.

yes it should be difficult to turn your wheels when your sitting still... just do a very very slight roll and it should turn with ease

Stearing Gear box might be going out, Im on my third one. Might have it checked out, herd they lock up and can be real dangerous while driving if there is a problem.
