Caliper went, kinda weird?

49,000 miles on the 450 and the rear dual/driver-side/caliper blew.

I just put new rotors and pads on this thing around 43,000 miles and now this.

$1000.00 for new rotors and pads.<43000 miles
$530.00 for new caliper and pads.<49000 miles

What would you do being out of warranty?

I paid already and the truck is back on the road but geez.

I understand new pads and maybe(?) rotors although I have the original set on my 08 with 44k miles. What was wrong with the caliper that you couldn't rebuild it?

I had to get the truck back that next day and FORD told me they couldn't rebuild it. It was shot though.
