Change in REGEN dash display?

Ok, I took a trip earlier this week of about 600 miles round trip. On my return and about 30 miles from home (after having driven steady on the interstate for almost 100 miles without stopping), a message came up in the message center that said "drive to clean exhaust filter". That message stayed on for about 5 seconds and then it changed to "cleaning exahust filter". That message stayed on for about 15 minutes and the display switched to "drive complete, Exhaust filter" and everything went back to normal.

Now normally a message will pop up and say "cleaning exhaust filter" stay on for 3-4 seconds and go back off. I can check it during the regen process by pushing the system stats and as long as it is in the process it will tell me and the return the screen to the avg mpg.

Since that night I have had the truck regen one time and the display lit up like it normally did.

My question is why did the regen process change that ne time? It seems odd to me.

The truck has 16,500 miles (roughly), Fuel milage, hand calculated for the rip was 17.9 mpg highway speeds of roughly 70-75 mph

Thanks for any and all info.

Sounds strange to me. Usually, I get the "Drive to clean exhaust filter" message if I've made lots of short trips and the regan can't complete. It does kill me when it goes into regen AFTER I have driven lots of highway miles.

Now that would make more sense to me, if I had not been letting it complete the cycle. I really don't drive a lot of in town miles, and I drive 45 milles to work every day on open highway.
