Dealer fixing a few things under warranty

My truck was exerting symptoms listed in this thread Blue Smoke , and while i was getting a tranny fluid exchange i mentioned it to the powerstroke mechanic. He said that there is a TSB out for the inter-cooler. That there is a updated version used on the 2010's, that is supposed to be more efficient and fix the possible condensation issues the older inter-coolers "could" have. Has anyone head anything on the TSB or have a reference number i could look up?

So on tuesday im bringing my truck in and getting a new inter-cooler, and updating to the newest flash ford has available, all under the 5yr 100k engine warranty. He is also going to check the EGR and possibly replace that as well.

just an update. Today i got the 08-25-1 performed under the factory 5yr 100k warranty. They also put the 9-19-10 flash on my truck.

So far ive noticed that the truck is quieter. The boost spools up faster and takes less boost to maintain speeds. I havnt noticed much in mileage. I will drive more tomorrow to see if theres a pickup in mileage.

I see similar issues as well. I am interested in your results. DId they change the EGR?

I think mine is more EGR related?

Definately let us know how you like the new ford reflash. I'm thinking about taking mine in for the blue smoke but my dealer I know will say they can't do anything until they can reproduce it themselves.

What i'm going to do is take a few video's of different times that the truck does it and let them watch it so they know i'm not making stuff up!

Well after a 71 mile trip, i am getting GREAT mileage. I reset the trip odometer and average MPG. I was averaging 20.3 after 71 miles. No regens yet after the reflash.

How did u average 14-16 before, i would be happy with that as im getting 10-12. 50/50 mix of driving. is the new flash for all trucks or just one with the "blue smoke"?
