09 starting problems

I have had starting problems.The first time I shut the truck off for a couple of hours and went to start it and it wouldn't crank.Batteries good. Had it towed to a Ford dealer.It was saturday so it sat for 2 days. Went there monday and it cranked right up. Couldn't get it to fail . The next morning it cranked but wouldn't fire.shut it off and tried again and it fired up.Then no problems for a couple of weeks until yesterday.It sat a couple of hours and when I went to start it, it started and died.Hit the starter again and it cranked but no fire.Let up on key and it kept cranking on it's own until I shut the key off then it wouldn't crank at all. This morning it started normally.Went to local ford dealer and talked to the diesel expert and his eyes glaced over by time I finished my tale of woe.

Ive heard of another 6.4 having the opposite problem. It wouldnt start if it had been siting for several hours. It was a bad HPFP. I dont have any ideas on yours though.
