DPF Issues??????????

Not sure if anyone else has ran into this, but needed some advise as to what the issue is.

I am currently getting a code P2002 Particulate Bank 1 Efficientcy Below Threshold and curious if anyone else has ran into this or not?

I purchased the truck 08 F250 used in 09 with 33K on it. It now has been almost a year later and I now have 41k on it and it has never gone into exhaust filter cleaning.

The truck is a job 1 if that makes a difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does it have an aftermarket air filter?

How do you know that the dpf has never been "cleaned"? My Job 1 truck didnt display the "cleaning" message until I had an updated flash. Are you current with your Ford software upgrade?

No aftermarket air filter or tune. It appears that a 4" tail pipe was added and the muffer was removed, but the DPF and CAT are still intact.

If it is just a bulls*& code I will reset it, and not worry, but I dont want to cause any damage.

I have driven other 08's and as you know when it is cleaning the DPF there is a noticable difference in the exhaust sound. As for the flash it was done a few months ago.

My 08 Job 1 never said it was cleaning the exhaust filter until I had a reflash. I drove it for 12,000 miles and never saw anything or felt anything. It seems like now after the reflash I feel the regen process when I never detected it before.

I believe the newest flash for the job 1 makes the regen like my job 2 truck. It only gives the message for a second or two. The origional program did not give a message at all. If you do mostly highway driving and have the first or the last it is hard to tell when it goes into regen. If there is no light, clear it and check for it later.
