Electrical

Got my 08 F250 and the headlights wouldn't go off untill the computer shut them down.
Ford replaced computer smart switch modual but that didn't work.
Replaced headlight switch and that worked.
Turn signal light on the mirrors wouldn't flash but stay on steady so they replaced the "smart switch" two more times but NG. Ford tells the dealer that it has to be the switch but the dealer says no way.
They have the truck and I am driving a ford focus.

Ummm....aren't they supposed to give you something EQUAL to or Greater than what you own when your vehicle is in for warranty repairs? I know that every time I've taken my Dodge Neon in, they give me like a Stratus or something with a little luxury to it. I'd go back, toss them mothers the keys to the fuk-us, and say, At least give me a durn Diesel TRUCK!!!??? That is B.S.

Ask just about anyone that works on vehicle electrical if it isn't a nighmare to troubleshoot some of the issues they run across.... It's not just a bunch of fuses and junction boxes anymore, it's computers and "smart switches" AND fuses and juction boxes... GEEZ... Best of luck to ya...

By the way, they might have given you a Focus but I doubt they'll be nice enough to give up another Superduty... We all KNOW how expensive they are... But you should be able to get something a little more substantial out of them....

Ken....

i'd be raising hell and asking how in the hell you are supposed to tow a trailer with that. I'd probably go get it stuck in the mud and then call them and tell them that you need them to come get your loaner truck unstuck. :drive:

in the mean time find a nice big long empty parking lot. Bring that focus up to about 60mph and pull the e-brake...repeat 15-20x

The problem with loaner cars is that most dealers use rental agencies now. They probably don't even have any SD's. I bought a Ranger befor I turned 18 and took it in for some warranty work and was supposed to get a loaner, but even though I was old enough to buy an extended warranty, I wasn't old enough for the rental company to give a car. Take that Focus back after said parking lot test drive and see if you can get a Hurst mustang
