I'd try another dealer or hire a lawyer. Use their parts the way they tell you and they don't back it up? What a shame. I hope everything works out for you.

Wow..this is eery. I just had the exact same thing happen to mine last Monday. I have 48,500 miles on my Job 1 08 450. I had to have 2 injectors and the EGR replaced 1,000 miles ago and then last monday it died on me exactly like yours did. I talked to the dealer today and they said it didn't pull a water in fuel code(so that's good for me) They did find brass shavings in the fuel and are suspecting a bad high pressure fuel pump and bad injectors (don't know how many) My guess is that the pump was going bad 1000 miles ago which cause the first 2 injectors to fail. I'll keep you updated on what they tell me.

I was told any shavings in the fuel system the entire system must be replaced. All the injectors the pump's the fuel filter housing, all the lines and drain and clean the tank. My code was a p0087 low fuel pressure.

Just talked to my service rep. My fuel system is being replaced under powertrain warranty due to no contaminants in fuel and no water in fuel.
