Cruise Control?

i just picked up my 08 on Friday. one thing i have noticed is that when i have the cruise engaged and hit the set - to slow down it will slow down and then hesitate and slow down alittle more and hesitate again. it will do this until i set the cruise again or take it off. i have heard about a cruise issue on these trucks i dont know if this is it?

Mine does the same thing. I think for every time you hit the - button it drops 1mph or so.

ok good. I had read somewhere about the cruise catching fire? just making sure this was not it

The possible fire problem was on older Ford products that used a faulty cruise control deactivation switch. If you are really unlucky, the switch will leak a little brake fluid, and if it manages to short out at the same time, it could potentially cause a fire.

If you think your 2008's cruise control is weird feeling now, wait till you get a tuner installed. Each time you hit the button, it tries to accelerate by 1mph (which is fine), but it tries to accelerate that 1mph by using 100% of it's throttle. It's a very exaggerated version of what you have now.
