Engine light on?

I drive an 08 6.4 with about 70000 miles on it. It has never given problems. About a month ago I let it warm up one morning when I got in to leave the engine light was on but no apparent problems. About 2 weeks later the light went off. About a week ago the same thing happened and the light is still on. The truck runs fine no noises and the oil level is good. I even pulled a heavy gooseneck load of cattle about 70 miles with it. This has happened since the weather has turned cold. Anybody know what might be causing it?

mine has done the same thing for the last 20K. Been to Ford they say everything is fine. Light goes off and comes on.

This is a $60k truck, the check engine lamp on is most definitely NOT fine.

There's actually a way to pull codes through the stereo, I've done it once, but can't remember the button combination... 2 and 6 button held down? Shrug. Maybe someone else can chime in.

At 70k your truck should still have diesel engine warranty, no?

the codes out of the radio i belive are just radio codes kinda just like the climate control.
