new to diesels is this normal

bought a 2010 f250 harley and i love the looks. not to sure about the product or quality though. found out that the transmission shift solenoid was replaced at about 50 miles, apparently it was shifting hard during previous test drives. also when i was driving on the interstate at about 70 mph i floored it to pass a car and it almost put me through the windshield when it fell on its face. as far as the exhaust filter cleaning, it has only happened 3 times and only on for less than a minute. Is this normal stuff with diesels or ford for that matter. ive always had problem with fords previously, but was talked into to buying this one and im hoping im not gonna regret it. truck is stock with 3.55 gears and 4500 miles.

Well, the passing part is not normal. I won't pretend to tell you what's wrong, but it ain't right. Even before I did the delete I had plenty of go for passing.

I would wonder why a truck with 4500 miles was back on the lot though.
