u0037 code and truck will not start?

I have an 08 f350 srw CC/ LB and i was drivin yesterday here in chicago with plow on and salt spreader fill with salt (1.5yds) and my temp gauge starting jumping from cold to medium but never reached hot and truck never over heated. so i pulled over and turned it off and when i go to start it back up nothing not even a click from starter but had juice for radio etc. Had it towed to local shop and plugged in scanner to odII and read code u0037(comm. module) cleared code and truck runs fine now..

Anyone have this happen before?

I also have spartan 210 tune!!

More than likely a glitch. Lots of bumping while plowing, possibly a loos connection. If it happens again, check all computer connections.

I previously had a 2008 F 350 and the exact same thing happened to me. I had a superchips tuner and I was giving it pretty good when my truck shut me down. I called ama because my truck wouldn't start back up and by the time I got it back to the dealer he turned it and it started right up. He said that he has seen this before and apparently these things will shut themselves down for exactly an hour. It didn't happen again for about the next 8 months that I owned the truck.

The hour long shutdown is when the EGT goes overtemp. However, you will have all sorts of warnings beforehand. "PULL OVER SAFELY" etc etc.

OR it can be caused by a loose connection at EGT13.

CHECK something for me:

Look under the hood. There is a wire...i THINK it's green/brown. It's got one large connector in it. Should be over near the RH hood hinge. Check and make sure the connector is seated firmly. It's the feed to the 'S' terminal on the starter.

The same thing happened to me today, but i was looking at my EDGE display because by regen cycle just finished, but my EGTs weren't high enough for a trip (around 900 or so). It's at the dealer right now, i will update my post when they tell me what is wrong with it. I have noticed lately that my average EGTs for daily driving have been going up, i think i may have a problem with my DPF.
