Hey guys, im looking at another truck its a 6.4l 4.5" lift, owner says that the truck will sometimes cut off when slamming the brakes with 1/4" tank or less
He claims its cause of the lift that it made the tank sit higher or something
Is this plausible?
ive never heard of it. It shouldnt matter what the lift is because suspension can only compress so much and the length of compression should be near the same. My logic is that if it was what he said, the lift pump would have to suck air and even then air being pumped to the hpfp is really bad news.
when you apply that kind of thinking anything is possible
but in reality, the fuel pick up foot is probably cracked or the bypass valve fell out of it
causing the fuel pickup to suck air at 2-3 inches higher than the bottom of the tank
Well i didnt buy it so im good
I found a really low mileage 08 thats in great shape
