Truck wouldn't start with power mirrors folded out.... It's a 2008 F-350, no click nothing, all my gauges light up, radio comes on, mirrors fold in and out but no start until I folded them back in.
Well I was running behind for work so I didn't try it more than twice but it did repeat. Once I started it the first time I let it run for a min, shut it off (mirrors out) turned the key and nothing ?, folded the mirrors in, turned it to run for a second then to start and fired right up like normal. I will give it another try on my lunch break and see.
Well it seems to be working like normal now. Fired up with mirrors out just fine several times now. Maybe just a random fluke or the battery was just a little low?
i'd have to check out the diagram, but i can't see how folding mirrors would have any bearing on the starting system. it may have jst been coincidence. should scan for dtc's and see if anything comes up. something capable of viewing dtc's from the bcm as well
Yeah, my guess is just a coincidence. I'm not saying there isn't some electrical short or gremlins at play here, but it's not very likely.
